Payment with new Fitness Bracelet

Contactless payment seems gradually becoming more common. Jawbone responds to this trend with a new fitness bracelet which can be paid in stores.

The new Jawbone Up4 acts as regular pedometer with built-in pulse counter and sleep sensors, but also includes an NFC chip, allowing users of an American Express card to pay them at stores that support contactless payment technology. For the time being, however, this is only available in the United States.
Besides the Up4 Jawbone also comes with Up2. This also includes a step counter and sleep sensor and the length can be adjusted at will. It is also possible to vibrate the bracelet when receiving a notification on the associated telephone.
The Up2 costs $ 99 (about € 93), while the Up4 for $ 199 (€ 187) over the counter.
