Former Apple CEO Scott Forstall has a new job. He works as a consultant at Snapchat. This is clear from leaked emails from Snapchat board member and CEO Michael Lynton Sony on Thursday along with tens of thousands of other documents of Sony Pictures Entertainment on the whistleblower website WikiLeaks published.
Forstall, who since 1992 worked with founder Steve Jobs, left in 2012 at Apple after a conflict over the Apple Maps app that was just released. He reportedly refused to apologize for the problems with the app. CEO Tim Cook finally wrote a letter of apology, Forstall left.
Then he held various advisory positions. Since January 2014 at Snapchat, in exchange for a fee of 0.11 percent of the shares for a period of two years, reports TechCrunch Friday. The company was recently valued at $ 15 billion, which means that Forstall could iron at about $ 16.5 million.
