The current model, the Galaxy S6, consists in part of metal, but the back is made of glass. It would be the first time that a Samsung flagship device is made entirely of metal.
Samsung would also choose not to aluminum, but for a magnesium alloy. That material would be 2.8 times stronger than aluminum, but also 65 percent lighter. Moreover, the material is hot less quickly.

It is not yet known when the Galaxy S7 appears. Samsung announces phones are usually late February during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
